Just humming along

Hummingbirds are the most impressive little animals! They beat their wings between 80-200 times PER SECOND! Ruby throated hummingbirds (what she is in the photo) have been known to travel over ONE THOUSAND MILES without a single stop! So, needless to say, when I see one, I do my best to capture it! With shutter speed cranked up to 1/4000th of a second, letting in all of the light I can with a 4.0 aperture, and hoping one stays still just long enough for me to perfectly freeze them!
